The Military History Museum ‘Alpi Giulie’ offers a walk through history and the chance to have a sense of the area where important military events took place. A wealth of documentation is also conserved there (from other countries as well), together with relics and objects dating from the Napoleonic Wars to the Second World War. Of particular significance are the collections dedicated to the First World War, which describe the front both from the point of view of the Italian army and of the Austro-Hungarian one.
The itinerary of the Museum develops through three reference periods:
- The Napoleonic campaigns against the House of Hapsburg, conducted by the Italian cavalry between the XVII and XIX centuries
- Theatre of operations of the First World War (1915-1918)
- Starting point and international contentious object during the Second World War.
